Health & Safety Services - First Aid Training

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) provide guidance to assist employers to determine the number and type of first-aid personnel to provide in their workplace in the form of The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. Approved Code of Practice and guidance (L74).

This second edition provides details of new training requirements for first-aiders in the workplace. In addition the HSE have developed a First Aid at Work Assessment Tool which can be used as a guide and which complements the Approved Code of Practice. This tool can be found at http://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/needs-assessment.htm
